surrounding area train at the Goalie Centre? We think not! We get results!

Ownership and Facilities

The Goalie Centre is a year round developmental centre in Canada that exclusively provides one-on-one instruction for goaltenders. The Goalie Centre was established in 1996. The Centre is family owned and operated by John and Jaci Stevenson. The Centre is located at 22130 Twp. Rd. 514 in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. Goaltenders wear full equipment (including their skates) when they receive their one hour training sessions. The Goalie Centre is equipped with two Boni puck shooting machines. The Centre also has two brand new puck shooting machines exclusively designed by John Stevenson to improve the goaltender's recovery time and response time. Goaltenders will receive approximately five to seven hundred shots during their training session (the more advanced the training, the more shots will be seen). Goaltenders will develop the proper muscle memory (e.g., feeling) to execute the various puckstopping skills that are necessary for high level performance.

Included in the many programs is the first and only powerskating sessions specifically designed for goaltenders at the Fultonvale Arena, every weekend.

The Centre is open Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Goalie Centre booking office hours are from 12:00 to 4:00PM Monday thru Friday. The Goalie Centre booking office is not open on Saturdays or Sundays.

PLEASE NOTE: The Goalie Centre will be locked. Please wait for the coach(es) to unlock the facility.

The Goalie Centre is pleased to announce the completion of their new off-ice facilities! We are now offering both on and off ice sessions. We are also introducing a new program in 2004: On Ice Angle Training.
