Programs - Group Mental Training Sessions / Game Evaluation Programs

Mental Training - another program offered by the best goalie / goaltending school - The Goalie Centre!

Since the last generation of keepers, goaltenders have increasingly gone from the most neglected players on the team to virtually the centre of attention. Now a vast array of high tech goal equipment is available. Teaching aids for technique development, as well as goal tending instructors, have become prevalent. In spite of these important development, one area is lacking.

Regardless of the book studied, the video watched, or the coach consulted, it is difficult to gain a clear understanding of how to train the goalie in the psychological aspects of the game. How does a goalie concentrate better, become more confident, and play more consistently? It has been estimated by many hockey pundits that 90% of goal tending is mental - yet almost no time is spent teaching goalies how to improve these important psychological areas. The Mental Training offered in this program provides the goaltenders with the opportunity to gain this missing component of their training.
